To all photogs new to the game, its apparent that you've considered building an album or photobook of some sort. You might not be a photoshop guru and that is a headache.
I used photoshop for images and nothing else when I started photography. A year down the line, I think I can maneuver my way around photoshop while building an album.
I'm cooking up a video tutorial about "how to build your own album" using photoshop.
Its a radical and simple design process which takes away all the confusion and clutter that most tutorials about album design come with. For disclaimer - Let it be known that I'm not an authority in photoshop but my method will work. So share my blog if you like it or don't hate. Video tutorial is coming up tomorrow. Stay tuned
Getting to love You
When you photograph people in colour you photograph their clothes. But when you photograph people in B&W, you photograph their souls! ~Ted Grant
I do photography which appeals to my sense of creativity. However, I bump into people who like what I do but would want me to channel my style to their taste. I was once advised by a good photographer, that I should always have a style and stick to it. Being true to yourself is going to draw people who like my style of photography. In this day and age where the average Joe can get his hands on a DSLR from Costco or Bestbuy. Photographers like us don't get the artistic freedom to be who we are. The average Joe can photograph, just like a "professional".
In an industry full of wannabe's I think the best way to be yourself is be yourself. The stringent scrutiny that your work will come under will be daunting but necessary to make you evolve into the professional that you are.
In a rather random thought, I'm seeking a muse to help me invoke my creative side. In the quest to be good and better.
